Professional Summary
As an agricultural educator and researcher, I have over five years of experience in secondary and post-secondary education and outreach programs. My research during graduate school concentrated on the involvement of youth in agriculture and the various factors that influence their perception of the sector and their potential engagement with it, including the decision to pursue a career in agriculture. I am dedicated to the quality of life of youth and the increase of agricultural literacy among young people and adults.
In my portfolio, I present a few artifacts I have created to assist educators in using agriculture to teach their curricular content. Additionally, I have incorporated the presentation from my dissertation defense, which provides a comprehensive summary of my doctoral research. To showcase select aspects of my teaching, research, and service activities, I have included photographic artifacts.
Instructional Resources
Below are instructional resources I made to help New York City educators unfamiliar with how to utilize a database of agricultural lessons that could be used in their classrooms. I also created resources for teachers teaching math or science, so they could easily locate lessons from the database that correspond to math and science concepts.

Defense Presentation
My dissertation defense presentation was an opportunity to demonstrate my knowledge, defend my work, and show that I have contributed meaningfully to the field of agricultural education. These slides serve as a concise overview of my research and highlight the themes, conclusions, and recommendations - which are a culmination of my research efforts and offer insights into the broader implications of my findings.

Conceptual Framework
I used the Social Cognitive Career Theory to explain career choices among my study participants. Using the literature and my research questions, I created a conceptual framework to situate agricultural career contexts within the Social Cognitive Career Theory. My conceptual framework is designed to provide insight into the factors that impact how youth may or may not find themselves pursuing a career in agriculture, even after attending an agricultural outreach program that exposes them to agricultural careers.
