Hi, I'm Brittany. Welcome to my website.
Here you can learn about me as an agricultural educator and see a collection of my UX design work.
About Me
I have a background in agricultural education and social science research, which consists of my time teaching high school and college agriculture, implementing programs, and obtaining my doctorate in Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education. Currently, I work as an urban agriculture education specialist with an agricultural literacy program where I conduct outreach to Pre-K-12 teachers in New York City. My role is to expose them to the vastness of the agrifood system and program resources so they can build their students' agricultural literacy.
In addition to my experience in agriculture, I have experience in UX design and Agile methodologies. Taking a non-traditional route to pivot to tech, I completed the Google UX Design certificate in 2021. I originally started the certificate to upskill and add to my career as an educator and researcher; however, shortly after I completed the certificate, I was recruited as a Digital Designer with the Grow with Google Program and helped government and public service clients with digital transformation.
My diverse experiences have cultivated a unique blend of skills and I am eager to leverage my knowledge and expertise to contribute to innovative projects and foster positive change.
